Central California Power is actively involved in a program with San Joaquin Valley Air Pollution Control District that is funded to offset emissions by replacing older polluting diesel engines.  There’s currently $10,722,090.00 available for the San Joaquin Valley Unified APCD, which was announced in a news release on January 17, 2007 and more to be released annually through 2015.  There are different program categories that vary in their incentive amounts and costs to the applicants.

The program has been around since 1998 and over 6,300 engines had been cleaned up within the first six years.  To be considered as a candidate, please submit serial numbers, year, make, model, and operational annual hours for your diesel engines ranging from 100hp up to 950hp. Engines running over 1500 hours a year and the older Diesel engines, preferably before 1998are the better candidates.  There is priority to the most polluting engines, but please do not hesitate to apply.

As time is of the essence, please allow me to reiterate that we will need required info about the engine(s) as soon as possible.

Kind Regards,
Rod Headley

Central California Power is actively involved in a program that is privately funded to offset emissions from new construction by replacing older polluting diesel engines.  The entire cost of the engine and installation would be paid by the fund set up with private money.  This is not a grant program but the Air Resource Board will be involved in directing the program.

The program is starting immediately.  To be considered as a candidate, please submit serial numbers and operational annual hours for your diesel engines ranging from 100hp up to 950hp that are older than 1998 models. Engines running over 1500 hours a year and the older Diesel engines are the better candidates.  Candidate engines for replacement must be operating in the San Joaquin Valley. Engines used to propel over the road vehicles do not qualify.  Your submittal will be plotted on a master emissions chart for consideration by independent coordinators for possible approval.

As time is of the essence, please allow me to reiterate that we will need serial numbers and hours of operation as soon as possible.

Kind Regards,
Rod Headley
